General Information

A video game review is a piece of writing where the author discusses their opinions of a game. Reviews often mix facts with the thoughts of the reviewer, to attempt to inform the reader whether they should consider purchasing the game or not.

Many reviewers compare video games by using rating systems. Common rating systems include:

  • A number out of ten.
  • A number out of five.
  • A percentage.
  • A five star system.
In most rating systems, a higher number represents a better quality game in the opinion of the reviewer.
