General Information

Digital art is stored on a computer in binary or digital form and has been modified or manipulated using a computer. It can range from a piece that is entirely computer generated to a scanned photograph that is manipulated.

As a result of the increased popularity and decreased price of computer software applications that manipulate photographs, image manipulation is now much easier than it was before. Products such as Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Paint have made digital art popular.
